SEMI-CUSTOM INVITATIONS
Can I customize a semi-custom stationery piece?
Yes, colours, fonts, layouts, and paper stock can be customized. Please reach out to hello@utilityhouse.ca to discuss the custom change you would like to make.
How many invitations should I order?
Make sure to note the difference between number of guests and invitations required. Start with a list of all the guests you intend to invite, then group these into households (families/couples). This will be the number of invitations you actually require as not every guest needs an individual invitation. I would add 10-15% extra for second round or lost/resend invitations.
How long does it take to receive my semi-custom order?
Semi-custom printing can take 4 to 6 weeks. Shipping can take 1-2 weeks depending on location.
CUSTOM INVITATIONS
We've decided to go custom - how do I get started?
First step is to book a consultation at my home office in Burlington.
When should I be booking a consultation?
As soon as you have key information for your wedding, including venue, date, and time, you can begin the process of ordering your custom invitations. I recommend at least 4 months prior to the wedding date but around 6-8 months is typical.
What do I need to prepare before the consultation?
Any details or preferences you've decided for the wedding in general help inform the custom design. Whether that be venue, colour scheme, overall theme, florals, etc. The more information the better, but not required. Another helpful avenue is to gather inspiration photos of invitations or any paper goods that you like (our Pinterest boards are a great place to start!).

How long does it take to design, print and receive my order?
Design can take from 2-3 weeks, print from 1-2 weeks, and shipping/pickup from 1-2 weeks depending on location.
Do you take a deposit? What types of payment do you accept?
Once a price estimate is received and agreed upon, a 50% booking deposit is required to start the project. The remaining 50% is accepted upon completion of the project. We accept e-transfers to hello@utilityhouse.ca
Do you offer micro-wedding packages (under 100pcs)?
Yes, I can setup custom packages for wedding invitations under 100pcs. Please reach out for pricing details.
Do you offer white ink printing?
At this time, I do not. However, we can achieve a similar look using white foil stamped onto a card stock of contrasting colour.
Do you provide stationery for events other than weddings?
Yes! I can create invitations for any and all life events such as birthdays, baby and bridal showers, engagement parties, etc. Feel free to contact me with event details for a quote.

What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship within Canada and the United States.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes, we offer local pickup from Burlington, ON. Please contact us via hello@utilityhouse.ca to arrange a pickup.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Can I refund orders purchased from the shop?
Only items from our Shop can be refunded (please contact us hello@utilityhouse.ca to process refunds). Any semi-custom and custom invitations are made to order and cannot be refunded.
